This ten-acre site along a coastal riverbank was once a Girl Scout camp. studio2sustain first got involved with the site in the 1990s and recently was invited back to help steward the site through a new owner and another vision of growth and development. Much of the structure of our initial work remained, and our “renewing of our vows” was a pleasure and an inspiration. Mature species created a framework for modified expanded site access, ground covers and ornamental gardens. The biodiversity of coastal plants was expanded, giving the overall site a sustaining presence for many years to come.
