In the heart of downtown lies Wing’s Court – an urban oasis linking Union Street to Purchase Street and Custom House Square. studio2sustain designed a series of gardens that celebrate New Bedford’s sustainable future of offshore renewable wind energy, ocean conservation and green urban-scape initiatives of Mayor Mitchell’s administration. We integrated hardy native species with ornamental grasses and hardy perennials that celebrate our coastal heritage and our vision of sustainability. Wing’s Court is a terrific public message of accessibility, creativity and sustainability.
