Early on we were asked to re-construct an historic Queen Anne style Apiary that once stood on the grounds of the prominent Rotch.Jones.Duff House and Garden Museum in New Bedford, MA. All that remained was a black & white photograph of Sarah Delano leaning over a collapsed structure. We reconstructed the elegant design and construction of the Apiary, and assisted the RJD Museum with a Gardens Educational Program that is currently taught to all fifth grade students of the New Bedford Public Schools. This program is the foundation of teaching sustainability by highlighting the bio-diversity of the gardens and the role of bees to ensure great beauty and berries!
